Overcoming with God in prayer is vital, and it is what we really need. But we must understand that, if we are to overcome with God in prayer, and have results from God, we must therefore start such prayers either for yourself or someone else with repentance of our sins.
There are various kinds of sins, e.g it can be pride, fornication and lies. We must first repent of them, we can't prevail with God if we don't repent of them. The same should be applied to any kind of sins. Read Psalm 66:18.
Christianity is a walk in righteousness. We can't follow Christ with sins upon us. He is a righteous and Holy God who can't behold iniquity. 1John 2:1. We can live above sin, paraventure you found yourself in sin repent quickly, ask for forgiveness and walk the works of righteousness. 1John 1:9. Stay Blessed as you do so!
The Founder of the Deeper Life Bible Church has made an alarming assertion about his church members who continue to commit sins. Pastor Kumuyi who is the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry said on judgment day, hell will be hotter for members of the church who are sinners. According to him, this is because the Deeper Life sinners have heard enough of the word of God but still refused to repent from their bad ways.
