However the Bible enjoins us to walk circumspectly... Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is' Eph. 5:15. Apostle Paul in Eph. 2:1-3 presented a bleak picture of who we all were before we trusted Christ as Savior. He says we were spiritually dead, unable to do help ourselves or do anything about our state; dead' people in need of life'. We were slaves to the world, to the devil, and to our own sinful nature. Unrepentant people are said to be storing up wrath against (themselves) for the day of God's wrath when His righteous judgment will be revealed. ROM. 2:5. Thank God He did not leave us to wallow in such misery but provided a way of escape.
