The Bishop Oyedepo Foundation, in order to support the less privilege for quality education, and carter for them, took it upon self to upgrade the Library of Pacelli School for the blind and also offered food items to the institution in Lagos. The Pacelli School for the blind is a home for kids that are blind or partially sighted. The School educates and feeds kids at no charge. And is a full residential, non-fee-paying institution. It does not receive any subsidy from any arm of the government. The school is funded through the generosity of individuals, churches, corporate bodies and organisations. Furthermore, as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution, education is the right of every Nigerian. In reality, there is no government-owned institution that is equal to Pacelli School which is 51 years old. Due to varying circumstances, many lose their sight at an early stage in life and desire to be educated. The David Oyedepo foundation (DOF) has it sight to contribute positively to the lives of those children who have been born seemingly disadvantaged with partial sight or complete blindness. According to DOF, its goal is to contribute to the reduction of the rate of illiteracy in Nigeria and the World in general and Pacelli School for the blind is one of the beneficiaries.
The President of the Believers Love World Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has donated one billion naira to Benson Idahosa University. Pastor Christ gave this on Friday at a special convocation at the Benson Idahosa University where he was conferred with the award of Doctor of Divinity. Oyakhilome, during his speech, gave details on the reason why he made the donation. Saying, the late Archbishop Idahosa, had great influence in his life and ministry. That it was only natural for him to feel the need to do same for the youths. “The impact of the archbishop on me as an individual is un quantifiable.
